| Summary |
This survey was conducted before and after the Lower House election of 2009 using a public opinion poll on computers (CASI method) and a regular interview survey using paper questionnaires (PAPI method), with the purpose of clarifying the political behavior, social consciousness, and political attitudes of voters in the Lower House election through a two-wave national opinion poll (panel survey). The survey items include “voting and political participation,” “expectations for society and politics,” “attitudes towards supporting political parties and policy issues in the election,” “knowledge and evaluation of politics,” “attributes of the subject,” etc. In addition, this research group has been conducting national opinion polls on a continuous basis, mainly during national elections, since 2003. The survey period and survey names of each survey are as described below.
