Summary In recent years, as the structural labor shortage has intensified, there has been active discussion about methods to increase labor productivity. A major focus of this debate has been the "growth" of individual workers. For companies and organizations, the question of how to provide growth opportunities suitable for each member of the workforce is becoming a more serious issue, as work values and work styles diversify.

Therefore, in 2017, the Persol Research Institute launched a largescale fixed-point survey on how people work, how they perceive growth, and how they feel about their growth. In 2018, the second year of the survey, Persol administered a questionnaire survey to 10,000 people in all types of employment and occupations. The results will clarify the overall picture of "growth through work" by confirming the actual status and awareness of work styles and growth.
