Summary We investigated changes in lifestyle attitudes and behaviors under the influence of novel coronavirus infection. The first survey (1360) and the second survey (1389) were conducted in May-June 2020 and December 2020.

(3) Changes in working styles before and after the spread of the new strain of coronavirus infection
Status of/reasons for a side job, acceptance of/reasons for side job under the system at the workplace, current working style (frequency of telework, etc.), improvement of work for telework, inconveniences of telework, frequency of telework use in the future, wage/treatment gap between regular and irregular workers since last April, reasons for current employment status, intention to work as a regular employee, existence of /reasons for /obstacles to recurrent education, changes in current working hours, work productivity, and commuting time compared to those before the spread of infectious diseases

(4) Changes in attitudes toward housework, child care, and family before and after the spread of the new coronavirus infection
Changes in time spent with family, desire to maintain current time spent with family, current time spent on housework/child care compared to before the spread of infection, changes in spouses' working styles, changes in the division of roles between spouses regarding housework/child care, reasons for returning to the original division of roles, changes in the relationship between spouses, employment status of women (wives) when children were born, and intention of men (husbands) to take child-care leave and reasons for not taking child-care leave, the resistance of male colleagues to taking child-care leave, desire to marry, change in interest in marriage, presence of a romantic partner, change in new encounters since before the spread of the infection, reasons for not being married, what is sought when looking for a romantic partner, education experienced by children in the past month (e.g., online classes), use of digital devices distributed to children

(5) Attitudes toward current rural migration
Current interest in rural migration, specific actions toward rural migration, high interest in rural migration and reasons for migration, reasons for not migrating to rural areas, interest in “migration without job change,” interest in “two-region residence” and “multi-location residence

(6) Changes in attitudes toward education and learning before and after the spread of the new coronavirus infection (students)
Changes in willingness to learn, changes in study time, changes in desire to work in the Tokyo area, and perspectives considered necessary when choosing a company to work for or change jobs

(7) Current measures against new coronavirus infection
How respondents spend GW (this year and last year), feelings of corona fatigue, reasons for taking corona countermeasures even when feeling corona fatigue, calls for and information on strengthening corona countermeasures, and information media that are important when deciding what to do

(8) Changes in satisfaction before and after the spread of new coronavirus infection
Satisfaction (with life in general, health, work, ease of child-rearing, social ties, and enjoyment/interest in life), new challenges under the influence of infection, increased anxiety compared to before the spread of infection, and changes in the importance of social ties, etc.

(9) Perception of support measures
Awareness of jobseeker support training and higher vocational training promotion benefits, conformity with payment requirements, intention to use these benefits
