Summary
|
This survey is part of a nationwide survey of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with less than 20 employees conducted quarterly by Japan Finance Corporation. It is a successor to the Japan Finance Corporation Research Institute's "Quarterly Survey on Small Enterprise Trends."
The survey is conducted every quarter by selecting a sample of JFC client firms based on the industry composition of business establishments nationwide. The data presented here are the actual results for the October-December period of 2021 and the forecast for the January-March period of 2022. The survey is intended to provide a detailed understanding of the business conditions of small businesses by industry sector and to serve as a reference for JFC operations as well as for a wide range of external parties.
In addition to the fixed questions on trends, this survey includes a particular question on the "status of borrowings," which is changed each time the survey is conducted.
