Major Survey Items As this was an omnibus survey comprising the Central Research Services' monthly survey, it included items from Ikuo Kabashima's "Political Weather Map," in addition to the customary set of variables, namely support for a political party and support for Cabinet, economic variables such as changes in living conditions, and like and dislike of foreign countries. The researcher prepared the following items: sense of obligation to vote, cost assessment, degree of political participation, degree of attachment to the municipality, and membership to patronage associations.
