Summary Japanese people are strongly inclined to build new residences and weakly inclined to purchase previously owned residences. This has been indicated as a reason that hinders the development of the market for previously owned residences. Accordingly, this survey was conducted on home owners in Japan to confirm their inclinations on relocating in the future and their attitudes on the possibility of completing a sale transaction for their home, and to collect data that will serve as reference materials in the future.
