| Summary |
The Kyoto University Center for the Promotion of Excellence in Higher Education and the Dentsu Scholarship Foundation have—through their "College Career Attitudes Survey" (2010 Survey: 0883) that has been carried out since 2007—clarified to a great extent the types of college students who learn and grow. However, it has been pointed out that it is not necessarily the case that these learning and growing students become productive working members of society following their graduation. This survey is the first-stage survey of the "school-to-work transition" period; it looks at how school experiences affect post-graduation work. It targets working professionals between the ages 25 and 39 and polls them on their high-school and college learning, lifestyle, and career attitudes, as well as their method of work in their workplaces. In addition to the efforts of the members of the Nakahara Laboratory in the University of Tokyo's Education Research Center (educational curriculum and method development department), this survey was also subject to two years of discussion and consideration before deployment. |

Random sampling from monitors affiliated with Macromill Corp. After setting two conditions—company size (30–499 individuals/500 or more individuals) and age (25–29/30–34/35–39) (2*3)—we sampled 500 individuals from each condition for a total of 3,000 subjects. |
