Summary The purpose of this survey is to capture the total number of international students enrolled in Japanese higher learning institutions and Japanese language education institutions during the 2015 academic year (April 1, 2015 to March 31, 2016). Its purpose is to capture the situation of international students who enroll after the standard survey date and thus cannot be reached by the state of international student enrollment survey, which investigates the state of international student enrollment every year as of May 1. This survey has been carried out since the 2014 academic year, and results are publicly available as reference material based on the necessity of investigating consistency with the state of enrollment survey.
