Summary
|
Since 1969, the Research Institute of National Life Finance Corporation has conducted surveys from various viewpoints in order to investigate how new start-ups are actually doing. The Institute has been publishing "White Paper on New Start-ups," which contains the results of the surveys, annually since 1991. The survey of real estate renting business has been excluded since this year, and all chronological data have been re-produced excluding real estate renting business.

(1) Company outline : type of industry, contents and feature of enterprises, industrial field, a management form (at the time of commencement of business - present), existence of franchise chain affiliation, a place-of-business installation place, use situation of the Internet and an E-mail.
(2) Manager: sex, the last school education, existence of experience of the enterprise management to commencement of business, and the number of offices worked for, existence of flotation experience and years of experience, occupation just before the commencement of business (the number of employees, whether listed on the big board or not, job description), time of unemployment, unemployment form, relation of unemployment and restructuring.
(3) Circumstances of commencement of business: time of commencement-of-business years, commencement-of-business preparation start age, age at the time of commencement-of-business, age which aimed at the entrepreneur first, occupation of the parents at the time of his/her teens, process and the commencement-of-business motive, reason decided to be the present enterprise, the most serious consideration matter which is in charge of commencement of business, thing which became a fair wind in commencement of business, use situation of a private sector support organization and contents which were helpful, participating situation of an entrepreneur seminar and the results.
(4) Commencement-of-business expense: commencement-of-business expense, financing.
(5) Employees: number of employees and temporary employees at the time of commencement of business and present, employees' course of job getting, device on the management for an employee's morale upsurge.
(6) The situation after commencement of business: present monthly turnover, target yearly turnover at the time of commencement of business, income-and-outgo situation, point of suffering troubles now, degree of satisfaction to the situation of the present enterprise, future enterprise deployment intention (enterprise scale, stock public presentation), official support system which wants to be substantial for new start-ups.
