Summary
|
This survey was conducted for the purpose of understanding well the realities of life and workplace of the union members, which is necessary to advance the "93 Spring Life Struggle (Shunto)." Sales reduction, fluctuation of land and stock prices, and employment adjustment were brought by the recession that stated in the summer of 1991, and they have affected the workers lives in 1992. This survey was conducted in order to collect precise data on the union members' lives, which would be supportive of the "life struggle." This survey tries to investigate why union members cannot feel "quality and richness" in their lives, and evaluate whether "social justice" is inexistent or not. The survey also tries to find out what kind of things union members value in their lives and what kind of life style they wish to pursue, so that it could serve as a useful material for forming a precise agenda for the "life struggle." Some of the search items are identical to the ones used in former surveys, so that the answers could be compared.
