Summary The purpose of this survey is to carry out a fixed-point investigation of the Community Vigor Index (*), clarify policies and initiatives that public administration and the residents themselves can take to increase community vigor and individual well-being.

This survey was administered to 100,000 males and females between the ages of 20 and 69 across Japan.

*The Community Vigor Index expresses the overall level of community vigor and levels of the composite elements of vigor in numerical form.

It can be used to measure, on a common scale, the vigor and levels of its composite elements of prefectures and municipalities in Japan.
