Summary This survey investigates Japanese students studying abroad at a foreign university or similar during the 2015 academic year (April 1, 2015 to March 31, 2016) for the purpose of education or research, etc., based on a student exchange agreement or similar between a Japanese university (or similar) and a foreign university (or similar), and the relevant student exchange agreements.

Further, in the case that there was no student exchange agreement, responses from students were obtained if their destination school was known.
