Major Survey Items Social change, perception of problems, perception and evaluation of conflicts, evaluation of politicians and government agencies, contact with elites, mass media contact, and political awareness are nearly identical to the Survey of Citizens' Attitudes. Attitudes toward insecurity and disasters and pollution awareness are new groups of variables. Party support includes variables representing the intensity of support for each political party, but Michigan-like support intensity and information about rejected parties are not included.
