Summary The decline in academic achievement is becoming a major educational problem. Against the backdrop of the introduction of a 5-day school week and the implementation of "comprehensive learning time," the amount of time spent on arithmetic and Japanese has been decreasing. It would seem natural to say that traditional academic skills are declining. Additionally, it is now often said that more children are unenthusiastic about their studies. Therefore, this survey attempted to ascertain how children feel about their studies.
