Summary This survey aims to investigate the actual voting behavior, etc., of voters in the 45th general election of the House of Representatives held on August 30, 2009, and to make it source material for election awareness in the future.

The main survey items are as follows:
(1) Interest in politics/elections, (2) voting and abstention, (3) sequence of events leading to voting choice, (4) contact with election mediums, (5) about the electoral system, and (6) participation and contact with election awareness.

Since this survey is a nationwide political consciousness survey of voters that was conducted by The Association for Promoting Fair Elections after the elections, the report reveals the state of this House of Representatives election drawing from the survey results.
