Summary
|
Despite the loud advocate for a rich life for all, workers' life is full of worries, including life after retirement. The Life Vision Study Committee at the JTUC-RIALS was established to draw a clear picture of the way workers' life should be in the 21st century and to suggest policies required to animate the picture. In cooperation with JTUC, this survey was carried out in order to provide the Committee with useful data by covering all aspects of workers' life, both objectively and subjectively. Moreover, major items were applied not only to JTUC unionists but also to the wives of married male unionists. The uniqueness of the survey is also enhanced by a matching questionnaire which was, in some cases, directed to both husbands and wives to clarify the similarities and differences between them.
