| Summary |
This survey was conducted with the intention of clarifying guardians’ attitudes to school education. We asked their opinions on a variety of subjects, including the things they expect from school education, school reform, and education outside of school. As a variety of reforms are being tested, we aim to understand what guardians expect and think of school education. We believe we have gathered data that will prove useful in the future reconsideration of educational practices. We have implemented the same surveys in 2004 to facilitate comparisons with the result. For the 2004 survey, please refer to the survey number 0539. The special characteristics of this survey can be summarized as the following. 1. It can grasp changes occurring across eras. 2. It can grasp the differences between elementary school and junior high school parents. 3. It can grasp differences in attitudes resulting from different parent characteristics. This is an attitudes survey related to education that targets parents of elementary school and junior high school children, carried out via collaboration with the Benesse Educational Research and Development Institute and the Asahi Shimbun Company. |
