Summary Children attend elementary school for 6 years before graduating, which is a long time compared to junior high school and high school, which are 3 years, and university, which is 4 years. What, then, does elementary school life mean to children? In this survey, we asked sixth-graders who were about to graduate to evaluate their elementary school life; we did this to understand the situation from the children’s perspective, not their teachers’ or parents’.
